What is Self Confidence?
It has been said that a lack of self confidence is bad for your health, so is this true? Yes, it is, and there have been more studies done recently to prove it.
In fact, those who were struggling with self confidence couldn’t seem to get a handle on life in general, thus letting things get harder and harder, and ultimately resulting in depression.
Self confidence is a belief in yourself that you can do something no matter what, and with very little instruction. This doesn’t come natural for everyone, but MUST be built over time to make sure it’s strong and long lasting. Most people find that they develop it over time by trying new things, and building it over time with successes that they can celebrate.
Self Confidence Versus Self Esteem
Many times I find that people get confused about what self confidence is versus self esteem. Self esteem is an evaluation of self worth, whereas self confidence is viewed as what you need to help you carry something out. The two are different even though they are similar in nature and somewhat related.
Both are important to develop early on in life, simply because without them, it’s hard for people to push through and grow as adults. Research has shown that those kids who develop this early in life are less likely to encounter problems later in life when they get married and have children, and they find it easier to resolve their problems.
Why is Self Confidence So Important?
It’s no surprise that self confidence is so important, and it shouldn’t be. However, if you don’t have someone to help you, what will you do to build success? It’s often about finding role models early in life that can help you figure out what life is like and how to overcome it.
It’s easy to think thought of despair if we aren’t careful, but the reality is that we don’t have to and it isn’t healthy to do so. So, what should we do to make sure we are on the right path to building success for our future?
It might be attending workshops or seminars, or it could be that we need to focus on building relationship with those who can help steer us in the right direction.
