Have you ever had the pleasure of hiring a nutritionist? If so, how did it go? I hope that you found it to be helpful, and that above all you learned something new about how you eat and how it plays into your lifestyle.
Most insurance companies don’t cover visits to a nutritionist on a regular basis, so I am going to provide you with my online resource here to help you and share with you what your body needs in order to be healthy and strong.
What a Nutritionist Should Do for You
So, you are probably curious what a nutritionist should be doing for you, eh? Don’t worry because I am going to cover the true definition of what a nutritionist is, and what they do on a regular basis.
A nutritionist should be someone that you can rely on to help you not only plan your meals, but direct you in how you should be exercising daily as well. While most nutritionists won’t spend that kind of time with you, it’s imperative that you find one that will. They should cover what you need specifically rather than a blanket statement about what would work for most people.
Just imagine if you were putting a puzzle together, and you were missing half of the puzzle! How would that work out for you? It wouldn’t, so don’t count on being able to put it all together if you aren’t covering everything that you could be covering. This is why my blog will address every aspect of what you need including exercise, nutrition, and good supplementation as well.
Why I Act as an Online Nutritionist
It might sound odd that I am going to be your online nutritionist. While I am not a licensed nutritionist, I can certainly tell you a lot about nutrition. A lot of what you experience with nutrition is related to you only, so keep in mind that leaving comments for me is best to address your specific need.
All of us have something to contribute because not all of us are the same, so our experience with nutrition is very different. I could be in perfect health while someone else is not at all. Each one us lives a different life, and there may be someone who is diabetic that reads this and is sharing information with others who need it.
The goal for my blog on nutrition is to provide information that is well-rounded and helps others, and with that being said, you needn’t waste any time looking elsewhere.
What a Nutritionist May Never Tell You
So, now that I have talked just a bit about nutrition let’s discuss what a nutritionist may never tell you. If you are looking for information on weight loss a nutritionist will help you some, but they still may steer you in the wrong direction. Why? Because what they teach isn’t necessarily holistic in nature, but rather applies to the average human body.
One example specifically is that whole grains are ideal for weight loss. This isn’t the truth when you are overweight.
Whole grains trigger insulin, and insulin controls where your fat shows up. If it collects around the abdomen, then you are at risk of high blood pressure and high blood sugar. This is why most who get this diagnosis struggle with fat in certain areas.
Don’t let this happen to you when it could be avoided completely. Follow a healthy but balanced diet and you are sure to discover how much better you feel.
You Can be Your Own Nutritionist
Did you know that ultimately you are responsible for you? Only you can do the research for what applies to you, and this means that not only do you need to dig up the information, but you also need to learn it and apply it.
Those who are lifelong students tend to lead better lives, and it’s important that you have all of the information that you need to make a decision for yourself.
